about us

We consider ourselves to be a central part of the village community. We have close links with Temple Guiting Primary School, Cold Aston Primary School and the local farm where we enjoy visits from the lambs or walk around the local fields to watch the sheep being sheared and to paddle in the river.

Your child will receive generous attention due to our commitment to provide higher than recommended staff to child ratio. All children are welcome and respected as individuals. Together with parents and carers, we aim to help each child to develop their full potential. We believe children learn best when they are healthy, safe and secure.

We promote positive attitudes towards learning as well as to support opportunities for social, emotional and personal development. We provide a freely structured environment for learning through play and a range of stimulating activities to develop confidence and encourage cooperation.

As a close knit team, we are able to identify and meet the individual needs of every child ensuring they enjoy an enriching experience and are prepared and excited to make the transition to ‘big school’. All children are valued equally at Guiting Power Pre-School Playgroup.

Every occasion you go out of your way to make special. We now have cards, artwork and photographs that have become our treasures.

Stay and Play

The group runs on Friday mornings 9.30-11.30 (term time only). It is open to all children aged 0-2 and any carers: Mums, Dads, Grandparents, and Childminders etc. There is no need to book, just turn up on the day.

The Stay and Play group has access to the wide range of equipment used by the Playgroup including a home corner, craft supplies and a good selection of age appropriate toys and books. The group is a great place to come and meet other parents and carers, enjoy a coffee and biscuit. The first session is free and the costs thereafter are as follows: £3 per session (1 adult and 2 children)

These prices include drink, fruit and biscuits for both adults and children. Many of the children who come to the toddler group also attend the playgroup when old enough, with the familiarity of the building and the staff making this an easier transition.

Thank you for being a huge part of Emily’s early years where you have helped her learn so much. She’s always come home with a smile on her face.
